If you are one of our Beginnings’ families, chances are Mary or I have said “Talk all the time. Talk until you make yourself feel silly-and keep talking.”  (And when we say “talk,” we mean communicate! ASL, spoken language, cued speech or a mixture that fits your child.)

Sometimes life gets in the way so I like the occasional reminders that pop up in my email.  Learn to Talk Around the Clock has a great monthly newsletter that has a subject for each month and pages of ideas-one for each “provider” that interacts with DHOH children-parents (#1) , EIs, SLPs, etc.  Here’s a link to the September issue.  From that issue you can click on past issues.  This is a newsletter primarily for parents using spoken language but the ideas and activities make it suitable for all communication paths.
