Little late posting today but as I sat down to find a topic to post, this post from Peace in Your Home came up in my Pinterest feed. Holy moly I needed this today (and many days!) I am a teacher through and through but still need reminding. This helps me remember that children don’t have polished communication skills and usually their behavior is what is what is doing the communicating. What I love about this post is that it identifies the strategy to teach your child, so the communicating via unwelcome behavior hopefully gets less frequent. I’m going to be practicing teaching my youngest to “win-win negotiate.”
