6th Annual Back to School Bash

We’re so excited to invite families to the 6th Annual Back to School Bash! This year the Bash will feature a few components. We will kick off our Bash with an in-person vendor fair and school supply pick-up on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 9-11 a.m. at Seven Oaks Park (200 Leisure Ln, Columbia, SC 29210) like we’ve done in the past! The Bash is a FREE educational and fun event for children, adults, and their families who experience the impact of hearing loss. The Bash will provide awareness regarding the myriad resources available to families concerning access to communication, language, emergency support, educational supports, and assistive technology. Families will be able to pick up free book bags full of school supplies. Note, the in-person Bash will be following the prevailing DHEC COVID-19 safety guidelines, will practice social distancing, and will have masks and hand sanitizer available.
Following the in-person event, we will host online webinars and trainings throughout August and September, including a social language workshop. More workshops will be announced leading up to the Bash. Finally, we will conclude our Bash with a traveling STEM Bus tour from NTID Regional STEM Center September 20-24! The STEM Bus will set up at different regions in the state with free, fun, and educational activities! We will have registration information for all events available in the next few weeks!
The Bash is hosted in partnership by Beginnings SC, SC Association of the Deaf, SC Hands and Voices, First Sound & Irmo Fire Department.
While the Bash is a free event, we would like for you to register so we can see how many folks to expect! We’ll see you then!
Information for Vendors:
If you want to participate as a vendor and set up a table, please register here by July 20.
As a participating organization, you will have a reserved booth inside the gymnasium at Seven Oaks Recreation Center where you can show attendees what your organization offers. Whether it is information, brochures, coupons, displays, or an understanding of technology, we want consumers to know about opportunities and resources that you provide to support the lives of those with hearing loss.
- Nonprofit Rate: $100 | You will receive one table at which to exhibit.
- Business Rate: $250 | You will receive one table at which to exhibit.
- Sponsorship Rate: $500 | *SOLD OUT* You will receive two tables at which to exhibit and recognition as “Additional funds were provided by YOUR COMPANY NAME to make today possible” on handouts and signage at event.
- Goodie Bag/Information Add-In Only: $30 | You will not have a table to exhibit at, but you can send us informational materials and goodies to have at the Bash for families to pick up.
