Giving Tuesday is Dec. 3, 2019!
Beginnings SC is raising money this Giving Tuesday to help support our mission of educating, advocating and facilitating for and with parents of children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps!
Beginnings SC provides expert knowledge and individualized planning strategies for parents, professionals, & communities to promote successful outcomes for children who are deaf or hard of hearing in South Carolina. An important aspect of our work is our highly skilled part-time Parent Education Specialists (PES). They provide support and resources for parents of DHH children and act as their "on-call coach." The work they do is key in supporting the families we help. We have an ultimate goal of funding a full time PES.

#BrewGoodSC Event
In addition to our online fundraiser, we'd like to go beyond raising money and engage with our community. In partnership with Together SC, we're collaborating with several amazing organizations in Columbia to put on our #BrewGoodSC event! This free event will take place on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 5-8 p.m. at Columbia Craft Brewing Co. (520 Greene St., Columbia, SC 29201.)
Attendees who visit each participating organization will have an opportunity to learn more about these groups and what resources are available to the community. When you get to the event, make sure you pick up your Community Organization Passport! This will tell you more about each group, as well as serve as a place to collect a sticker from each station. You can redeem these stickers for 25% off of your tab at Columbia Craft. Also, make sure you enter the raffle to win a gift basket featuring items from Columbia Craft as well as the participating nonprofits. To enter the raffle, you must either donate or pledge volunteer hours to one of the nonprofits.
